Matthew is unique in employing the phrase ‘Kingdom of heaven’ – thirty-two times in his Gospel. No other New Testament writer uses this phrase. Why does Matthew use so distinctive a term? What is he trying to tell us? And does ‘Kingdom of heaven’ mean exactly the same as ‘Kingdom of God’?
