With the aid of more than one hundred plates and full colour maps, Luc Grollenberg carries the story forward from the time of the Patriachrs until the beginnings of the Christian Church. Each episode is interpreted in the light of our knowledge of the conditions in Palestine at the time, an excercise which vastly expands our apprciation of the Bible.
